The CDMS has a firm belief that all certificants and designees throughout their career embark on a continuous quest to develop and enhance their skills—enriching their competency, placing them at the forefront of the profession and enabling them to secure renewal. Through continuing education, disability management specialists are better prepared to serve and deliver assurance to employers and those they assist.
Recertification Through Continuing Education
CDMS Recertification: To maintain eligibility for recertification, a total of 80 CE clock hours are required within the 5-year period of certification. Four (4) of these hours must be in the area of ethics.
CE Hours Offered from the CDMS Commission
To assist you in fulfilling your continuing education requirements, the CDMS offers a full complement of products offering various levels of CE clock hours.
The Core Knowledge Curriculum (CKC), a much-needed online learning program for those in the field of disability management, provides an avenue for attaining continuing education clock hours. If you are currently certified, you can participate in this online learning program in whole or in part, with the benefit of earning up to 32 CE clock hours. Each module offers 8 CE clock hours.
Additional Learning Modules
Joining our inventory of continuing education offerings are our newest learning modules on Aging and ADAAA/IDM/FMLA. These educational training tools provide the latest in "hot topic" areas relevant to advancing practitioner competency. Earn 8 CE clock hours per module for successful completion.
If you missed our live webinar presentations, you still have the opportunity to earn continuing education when you purchase the recordings. The CDMS online store currently offers webinar recordings on Aging, Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act, and IDM/FMLA. Each recording offers 2 CE clock hours.
